Anglesey and the Sea Exhibition

13th to 20th January Oriel Môn are hosting an exhibition of artwork, objects and artifacts to celebrate the Year of the Sea

St Dynwen Day

25 January The Welsh patron Saint of Lovers.  Celebrated locally particularly at Llanddwyn Island 



 Anglesey Half Marathon Sunday 4th March

 The Anglesey Half Marathon.

Starts and ends on Menai  Bridge. This event is sponsored by Jones Crisps!


The Resolution Run

Sunday 18th March  For those whos New Year Resolution was perhaps to lose a few pounds or get fitter this is a target to aim for a beautiful challenging 5K or 10K run through Newborough Forest Park

March Manouche

23rd-25th March A weekend of Gypsy Jazz and Sing Manouche, in the bars around Menai Bridge and also at the festival campsite.  Gypsy Jazz is often said to have been started by Jean "Django" Reinhardt.
Great Orme Giant Walk Saturday 24th March This ladies only fun walk with day and night options begins and ends at Bodafon Farm Park, but takes in the coastline and sights of the Great Orme



Holyhead Maritime and Heritage Festival Friday 27th to Sunday 29th July  This annual weekend festivities celebrates all things Maritime in the history of the port time of Holyhead
 Holyhead Carnival Saturday 29 July Annual Holyhead Carnival  
 Menai Straits Regatta  Sunday  30th July to Friday 11th August  Annual series of long and short sailing races in and around the Menai Straits



 British Racing & Sports Car Club  Saturday and Sunday 5th and 6th August  One of many events for car and motorbikes at Trac Mon, Anglesey Circuit, see their site for more details of events  
 Round Anglesey Race Saturday 5th August  A sailing race around Anglesey's shoreline which has taken place since 1966, the record is just over 9 hours  
 Moelfre Lifeboat Day  Saturday 11th August  Moelfre Lifeboat Day is one of the biggest events on the Island with demonstrations by the lifeboat and coastguard.  It is like a carnival.   
Anglesey Show Tuesday and Wednesday 14th & 15th August The Anglesey County Show is the largest two day agricultural show in Wales attracting approximately 55,000 people.  there is lots to do and see for all the family. 
 Gwalchmai Carnival  Saturday 20th August  Annual Gwalchmai Carnival  
 Bull Bay Raft Race  Sunday 21st August  Day of water based events for everyone, leading to main event the Raft Race in the bay  
 Tour De Mon  TBC  Tour do Mon is a cycle race around the island of Anglesey.  Last year over 1400 cyclists entered the race.

Ring O'Fire Coastal Ultra Marathon TBC An annual 135 mile coastal ultra marathon circumnavigating the island on the Anglesey Coastal Path
Beaumaris Food Festival Saturday1st & Sunday 2nd September Demonstrstions by top local chefs cooking signature dishes using the best regional produce at major venues in Beaumaris
 Anglesey Montage Writing Festival  TBC  Writing Workshops in English including poetry, drama ePublishing and well being.  
Anglesey Sandman Triathlon TBC Starting and finishing in Newborough Forest adjacent to Llanddwyn Beach, with a sea swim, road cycle and trail run.
Love SwimRun Saturday and Sunday 22nd & 23rd September New for 2017, 18Kms 6 runs and 5 swims - around the rugged and beautiful coastline of Holy Island, starting at Southstack.


Beaumaris Victorian Christmas Saturday 25 November Including Santa's grotto, fancy dress, Christmas lights and fayre
